2. The preliminary screening
The preliminary screening will evaluate suitability of the idea for the FBC program. If required FBC will then help find a CERN technical match in order to finalize your application.
3. Finalising the application
The application is finalised as necessary with the applicant and the connection to CERN technologies is established.
The purpose of FBC is to aid Finnish researchers, entrepreneurs and SMEs (small- and medium-sized enterprises) to gain access to CERN related technology developments. FBC is part of the network of BICs involved in utilizing technological developments at CERN.

CERN, near Geneva, is the world’s largest laboratory for particle physics. It was the birthplace of the World Wide Web in 1990 and is home to the Large Hadron Collider where Higgs’ particle was found in 2012. CERN celebrated its 60 year birthday in 2014 signifying its extensive and long-lasting technology development history.
